Pardon the interruption in blogging.  Last weekend we had Dan's parents and sister come to stay, Dan's birthday party, Primary program Practice, the Primary Program, The Heritage Days Festival (where Madison had some artwork displayed, The Harvest Moon Hurrah (where Dan played with his orchestra),  the BYU vs Utah game (sad heartbreaker), and then Dan left for California Sunday afternoon.  It was a wonderful jam packed weekend and blogging just didn't happen.
Dan with his girls on his birthday
Classic Grandma consoling Annalise moment.  The tragedy- the inability to get ice cream into her mouth soon enough!

Little monkey.
Notice that poor Dan doesn't stand a chance.  He's got girls on both fronts opening his presents for him.

 BYU cougar baby!
This look says it all-she is giving Dan the stink eye because he is trying to pass football off as Baby Einstein.
These are blurry but you can see how much she loved whacking the helium balloons.

 Chilling before church
 YOU CAN"T HANDLE THE CHEEKS!!!
Anna has one and half teeth now and is toddling around.  Last night she took 6 steps in a row before grabbing something.

 Having fun with blocks!
Watching Mickey Mouse
She is all about the remote.  She wants to hold it and press all the buttons and then get really mad when her show turns off because she has pressed all the buttons.
 Random breakfast picture.
Playing with her bus.
Annalise had a number of firsts this week.  Her first tooth broke through (no picture because she doesn't want anyone near her mouth right now), she said a few new words (papa, yes, and kitty cat), and she took her first real steps.  She has taken a few one steps here and there but this was three steps in a row.  We are counting it!
Annalise wants YOU to know she loves you all!

More bad foods that are fun to watch Annalise eat.
Anna needed a chair.  I had been looking all over for one.  She has been trying to use the stairs as a chair.  She is really into trying to sit up and sit down.
So I found this cute soft chair at Costco.  She totally loves it.  She will crawl over to it and say her word  for giraffe -gaf- and bury her head in it and giggle.  It is way too cute.
Annalise STILL has no teeth.  When I went in for her check up I asked the pediatrician about it but he says it is normal for a number of kids to get teeth really late.  As for her other stats she is 20 pounds and 29 inches which is 50% for her age.  Hurray for being average ;)  She will take one little step here and there and can stand by herself forever.  She walks all over the place with her walker and I think she is very close to being a independent walker.  She is the fastest crawler you have ever seen and that seems to give her less motivation to walk.  She is full of giggles and loves and is a little imp when it comes to destruction.  It is quite common to find toilet paper and kleenexes all over the floor torn into little pieces.    You have to keep the lid down on the toilet or she will throw whatever she can find in there.  She loves taking everything apart and throwing it on the floor.  She keeps me running and smiling.
I love how Madison is being totally crazy and Anna is solemn golem here.
It's football season and we are season ticket holders this year.  Here we are all geared up as a family for the BYU vs Texas game.  We left Annalise at home with Grandma and Papa and had a blast at the game.  Despite the torrential rain and the delayed start it was a miraculous win and a fun time.
